Check Out These Amazing Features of the Jayco Jay Flight Travel Trailer
Magnum Truss Roofing System
Have you ever been worried about wind causing damage to your vehicle on the road? We've all been there. Luckily, there is no need to worry when driving a Jayco Jay Flight Travel Trailer. The advanced roofing system adds an extra source of security for travelers. This roof can withstand up to 4500 pounds, so when you're traveling, you don't have to worry about your RV getting damaged by wind or debris.
Plywood Construction
You want to make sure that your RV is moving in style, right? But you also want to make sure that you're eco-friendly and sensible. The Jayco Jay checks all of those boxes for you, which is why we chose this trailer compared to our other trailer options. By making sure that your RV has the construction to have these things, your RV becomes much more eco-friendly and lighter in weight.
Rooftop Solar Prep
We all know that when we travel, we want to do so in a way that minimizes our carbon footprint. With the amount of gasoline that you will be using while driving, you want to find other ways to reduce the number of emissions that you are putting out to stay eco-friendly while driving. If you want to add solar panels to your RV, you can do that with the Jayco Jay Flight Travel Trailer, making it customizable and fun.
G20 Dark Tinted Windows
This feature offers more benefits than just one. Tinted windows will protect all of your furniture and appliances from the sun. As RV drivers, we want to ensure that all of our equipment stays in the best shape possible while on the road. If it doesn't, it can lead to expensive repairs and replacements. But, at the same time, it gives you the privacy you desire while on the road.
Tinted windows are great for helping the A/C with climate control and keeping the trailer cooler when not in use. Jayco goes a step further with adding a Climate Shield to protect against weather extremes. In the company’s temperature testing, Jayco Climate Shield helped the trailer maintain an interior temperature of 71 degrees when the outside temperature was 100. When the outside temperature was reduced to 0 degrees, no plumbing systems were affected and the interior temperature remained an average 68 degrees.
Steel Wheel Wells
By installing wheels wells on each RV, Jayco Jay Trailers provides added protection for your RV from any debris that may fly up into your engine compartment while driving. We know that this is a concern when driving, and this is why the Jayco Jay trailer was at the top of our list. Being on the road, you don't need a breakdown halfway through your trip because of something that got stuck in your engine compartment. The goal of this RV is to take it wherever you please, and some of these places will involve more difficult terrain than others, which is when these steel wheel walls come in handy.
Axles With Self-Adjusting Brakes
What is one of your least favorite things about owning a vehicle? Most people would agree that maintenance ranks up there on the list. The fact of the matter is that no one likes going to the mechanic for maintenance and service. It is a long process and can sometimes be expensive, depending on what it calls for. To avoid this issue, Jayco Jay Trailers feature axles with self-adjusting brakes to ensure you have a worry-free driving experience.
Tongue & Groove Plywood Floor Decking
We want to feel stylish while traveling. No matter what that mode of transportation is, we all want that. You won't get a lack of that with the Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer, as the floors are specifically designed to look like the rest of the trailer does. On the Jayco Jay, they feature the tongue & groove plywood floor. This type of floor is exactly what you are looking for if you want something that helps you travel lighter and is more eco-friendly. Just another perk of Jayco.
Integrated A-Frame
We all know that one of the most complicated and frustrating parts of RVing is hitching your trailer to your vehicle. Because it is so complicated and frustrating, they have made the Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer so that you would not have to worry about this. This Travel Trailer offers a solution to your problem with its a-frame hitch. This frame is designed to help you have a problem-free hitch and no buckles as you travel, which are common deterrents from RVing.
In fact, every Jayco product is built on a customized frame rather than using stock frames to accommodate an RV.
Jayco uses either an I-class structural I-beam frame or a Norco NextGen frame. The I class I-beam frame is a one-piece molded design, eliminating seams that can bend and warp over time.
The Norco NextGen frame is used in Jayco’s ultra-light models because of their strength-to-weight ratio. These frames are made with high-strength, low-alloy steel that is also coated to prevent rust.
Each Jayco product is built on a custom one-piece laser-sheared frame which gives the best weight distribution for the RV that goes on top. This construction helps reduce vibration damage or sagging that can age your travel trailer prematurely.
Rest Assured With The Best Warranty In The Industry
Each Trailer comes protected by a two-year limited warranty covers your travel trailer for 24 months or 24,000 miles. Beginning with the company’s 2020 models, Jayco RVs also include a three-year structural warranty that includes structure components in areas like the roof, walls, and floors.
Jayco Has Been #1 For 14 years
Jayco trailers have a track record for high quality. That is how they are America’s best-selling travel trailer for 14 years running. As you can see, the Jay Flight offers a huge choice of layouts. The company was a Bronze award winner for the 2016 Trailer Life Readers’ Choice Awards. Jayco clearly prioritizes the customer experience and focuses on quality craftsmanship. Jayco trailers are a great option for the RV Camper.
Though Jayco is now owned by Thor Industries, it was founded in 1968, when husband and wife team Lloyd and Bertha Bontrager started the Jayco company in northern Indiana with a prototype folding camping trailer. The pop-up camping trailer had a unique lifter system that they began to successfully market.
They adopted Lloyd’s middle name, Jay, along with Lloyd’s philosophy of being “free as a bird” to name the company Jayco. They also named the company logo and mascot, a blue jay in flight, J. Jay.
