Happy RVing from the RVnGO Team!
RVnGO provides a marketplace for RV owners and RV dealers to list their RVs for rent, making it easy, fair, and safe for transactions, but we don't own the actual RVs. RV owners and dealers (we call them "Hosts") make the rental directly between themselves and you. RVnGO delivers a secure and trusted platform to make it easy for everyone and provides peace of mind for each rental with our Protection Plan that covers up to $200,000 in RV damage coverage. RVnGO does not provide auto-liability coverage, the Host and Guest should arrange their own coverage either by the Host providing coverage through their coverage that also covers the Guest renting their RV, or the Guest having coverage either through the towing vehicle or having or getting a rider on their auto-policy that covers the RV rental.
We don't own any of the RVs. We are an independent website for owners to list their RVs. You don't have to worry about us competing with you or favoring one RV listing over another.
Yes, you can rent RVs on RVnGO. You can also list and search for RVs for sale. We are one of the largest sites dedicated to renting, buying, and selling RVs. We provide the marketplace where RV owners, buyers, and renters can rent or buy RVs directly between each other.
RVnGO understands that purchasing an RV is a big financial commitment. Why not be able to enjoy the RV lifestyle without the financial commitment? We make it easy to go RVing by simply renting an RV. Perhaps you plan to go RVing only a week or two out of the year, or just a couple of weekends. Renting is the perfect solution!
We take away the hassles of trying to rent. We give you one site where you can search and find your perfect RV. All rentals processed through RVnGO are automatically covered by our Protection Plan covering up to $200,000 RV property damage insurance that covers both the Host and Guest during the rental. The Host and Guest are responsible for arranging auto-liability insurance by either using the Host's insurance policy that covers the Guest during a rental, or the Guest having auto-insurance that covers the rental (typically a towing rider if they are renting a travel trailer, or a rider on their auto-policy that allows them to also rent an RV). For more info, see our RVnGO Insurance Overview or contact us at Protection@RVnGO.com. RVnGO will process the rental payments, so the RV owner (the "Host") and renter (the "Guest") don't exchange financial information.
It’s FREE to list your RV for rent, and there are no transaction fees! Yes, you heard that right. FREE! You keep 100% of the booking. And you don’t have to pay your own credit card transaction fees - we will do that for you. We do charge a credit card processing fee of 3% to the guests, along with the daily insurance rate.
No, it doesn't cost anything to join RVnGO. Registering as a user gives you a personalized communication experience that protects your identity, where you can send and receive messages, as well as see your listings and upcoming trips.
RVnGO is the largest trusted free online marketplace where RVs can be rented, bought, and sold. We are all about connecting RV owners ("Hosts"), with people who want to rent an RV ("Guests"), whether it’s for a festival in the desert, a romantic weekend on the coast, or a family trip to the Grand Canyon via Route 66.
RVnGO also makes it easy for people to try before they buy, helping Guests locate their perfect RV, while providing security and comfort through an easy to navigate experience.
Create a Profile
Provide information about yourself like first and last name, phone number, email and street address, your payment option details and verify your Driver's License.
Search for an RV
Given the high demand for RV rentals and depending on the city where you are picking up the RV, we strongly advise booking and reserving an RV 3-6 months in advance of your trip. Once on the website, click search on the top navigation bar and select a state, city and date range for your trip.
Filter down to your perfect RV Rental
Personalize your search with filters—like date range, price range, pet friendly, length, type of RV, number of passengers, etc.—to get exactly what you want.
Check into the details of the RVs
Read the description. See what is included and if the RV owner ("Host"), offers any unique perks or extra fees. Check out the photos and any video. Then, read any Guest reviews from past reservations to learn about this particular RV Host. RVnGO does not own a single RV, you are dealing with an individual RV owner - the RV Host.
Send an Inquiry
Once you found an RV you really like and it meets your requirements, send an inquiry to the RV Host. Your inquiry let's them know that you are interested in renting their RV. They will then have the opportunity to approve or decline your inquiry.
Book with peace of mind
We keep your info safe and follow global security standards to process your payments through STRIPE, a payment processing software. We highly recommend that you pay the booking deposit as soon as the RV Booking Inquiry has been accepted so your reservation is locked in and you don't lose it. A reservation is not complete until the deposit is paid.
No, you don't need a special driver's license to rent or drive an RV, but you should be completely comfortable with driving the motor home you're renting, or with the trailer you're towing, and that the towing vehicle is capable of towing the trailer.
Why should I pay and communicate Only through RVnGO directly?
Communicating and Paying only through the RVnGO platform helps us ensure that you're protected under our Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, cancellation and refund policies, Host Guarantees, and other safeguards. It also makes it easy to find and reference important reservation details like a reservation's listing address, your itinerary, check-in details, questions or concerns or disputes, and other useful information. We can’t provide these protections and benefits if your reservation isn’t booked and paid for directly through RVnGO.
If a Host suggests or requests that you share your email or continue or cancel the transaction to work with them outside of the RVnGO platform in any way, that is a policy violation and opens you up to potential harm and higher costs.
Paying or communicating outside of RVnGO also makes it more challenging for us to protect your information and puts you at greater risk of fraud and other security issues, such as phishing.
*No money is saved by the Host or Guest for working outside of the RVnGO platform, so there is zero benefit of going outside of the system.
Report suspicious messages - NEVER provide your email or phone number if asked.
NEVER continue or cancel the transaction to work with the Host outside of the RVnGO platform.
NEVER reserve or pay for your reservation outside of RVnGO. If someone asks you to reserve or pay for a reservation outside our on-site payment system—or you think someone might be sending you links to a different website—please immediately inform the RVnGO Customer Service Team, at 1-888-399-9505.
Yes! RVnGO can help you to earn extra dollars by renting out your RV when you aren’t using it. Average rates vary from $80-$250 per night, depending on the RV, dates, or season. Most owners can pay for their RV by renting it 3-5 nights per month, allowing you to enjoy it the rest of the time, or expand rental availability and just watch the money roll in!
We are the first free person-to-person platform, directly connecting Hosts and Guests. It is free to list and there are no Host fees, so the Host receives 100% of their booking. We only charge the Guest a 3% credit card processing fee. Then, we send you free leads and give you all the tools you need to manage your RV rentals, including fleet management tools if want to rent more than one RV. We make our money by selling compelling value added services.
All rentals processed through our platform are automatically covered by our Protection Plan that covers up to $200,000 auto property damage coverage. The competitive daily premium is paid by the Guest. The Guest pays the deductible if there is an accident or insurance claim. There's no cost and no risk to Hosts. For more info about our insurance, see our RVnGO Insurance Overview.
An additional way to make incremental income is to provide supplementary services. You could offer to outfit the RV with Bathroom, Bedroom, Entertainment, Kitchen, and Outdoor hospitality packages or include a few of them in your basic rate.
Examples:
Bathroom - Curling Iron, Hair Dryer, Robes, Shampoo, Soap, Supplies for Cleaning, Towels, TP
Bedroom - Blankets, Mattress Pad, Pillows, Sheets
Entertainment - Books, Cards, CDs, Board/Video Games, DVDs, Puzzles, Satellite, Wi-Fi, Xbox
Kitchen - Cookware, Condiments, Dishes, Outdoor BBQ, Spices, Supplies for Cleaning, Utensils
Outdoor - Bikes, Bike Racks, Generator, Lawn Chairs, Telescope, Umbrella
Other amenities that renters might find of value are transportation to and from the airport, a cleaning waiver, not having to top off fuel, propane or water, as well as not having to do a tank dump.
RVnGO is a Free, Online Peer to Peer RV Rental and Sales Platform, or as we like to say, a person-to-person RV platform.
This simply means that you come to RVnGO.com to use the platform to work with an RV Owner or RV Renter. RVnGO simply facilitates the exchange of value.
So in a sentence, what we mean by peer to peer network (p2p) is Person to Person Network, renter deals direct to owner, no middleman. RVnGO is putting people directly together.
An RV Owner is called a Host. This can be a private RV Owner or RV Dealer with many RVs in a fleet. They are responsible for the RV and your experience using their RV.
If you are an RV Owner (RV Host) you list your RV(s) for rent or sale on RVnGO.com and will connect directly with RV Renters or Buyers (RV Guests) to either rent or sell your RV(s) to without interference from staff at RVnGO.
An RV Renter is called a Guest. If you are a person looking for rent or buy from an RV Owner (RV Host), then you are a (Guest). You visit RVnGO.com to rent or buy an RV direct from the owner.
All messages and transactions between Guest and Host are facilitated through the RVnGO Platform. Any issues that revolve around the RV and the rental or purchase are between the Host and Guest. Any insurance claims during the course of a rental are to be handled between the insurance company, the Host and Guest. The RVnGO Platform, the Company and RVnGO staff are only responsible for the smooth function, operation and user experience of using the RVnGO website. The company and staff are not involved in or responsible for any event or misunderstanding between the Host and Guest.
Any public reviews pertaining to RVnGO should pertain to the user experience of the website and interactions with the Customer Service Team. Any reviews of user experience regarding interactions with a Host or Guest should pertain to just the Host or Guest involved in relation to the rental. If a Host or Guest has a complaint regarding another Host or Guest, they are welcome to and encouraged to bring to the attention of the Customer Service Team.
It goes without saying that there are a lot of scammers out there and they can look legitimate many times. Some platforms allow you to speak directly with the Host or Guest before a transaction has taken place and request payment outside of the platform.
RVnGO STRONGLY ADVISES AGAINST ANY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A HOST OR GUEST OUTSIDE OF THE RVnGO PLATFORM.
It is against our policy and practice, as it opens the individual to fraud and harm. Any transaction that occurs outside of the RVnGO platform and/or our payment processing partner, is not protected and we are not held liable or accountable for any loss or damage.
RVnGO uses ONLY STRIPE as our payment processor for all reservations. You can click here to read more about Stripe's security measures.
Payments are made ONLY through the Reservations page. RVnGO will never initiate a payment request through a call or email. If there are issues with payment, you will reach out to our Customer Service Department.
As stated in another article - How Do I Know If My Payment Is Secure, We strongly encourage guests to be mindful of their communication with hosts on RVnGO. Keep all communication within our site to prevent fraudulent activity. A host on RVnGO should NEVER ask you for payment beforehand outside of our website. Additionally, all email communications from RVnGO will have the "@rvngo.com" domain at the end of the email address.
Should you notice any suspicious activity, please report it immediately to by contacting us or call 1-888-399-9505.
Our Profile is like a resume for others in the RVnGO community. Visiting someone's profile is a great way to learn more about them ahead of a booking.
RVnGO is a community marketplace built on trust and safety, so we require all hosts to have a profile photo, and we ask guests to upload a profile photo before making their first reservation.
Guests and hosts prefer to book reservations with people who have legitimate profile photos, complete profiles, and multiple forms of verification. When your profile is complete and helpful, it helps others feel that you're reliable, authentic, and committed to RVing and the spirit of RVnGO. Whether you're a host or a renter, the more complete your profile, the more reservations you're likely to book. For a great profile, be sure to include at least one profile photo. To view someone's profile, just click their profile photo.

Frequently Asked Questions about Renting
Here are some common questions by renters or 'Guests' about renting RVs.
Yes we do allow towing behind motorhomes like Class A RVs, Class B RVs, Class C RVs, and Campervans as long as the RV Host is ok with what is being towed and the towed trailer's gross vehicle weight is below the RVs towing capacity. The towed vehicle will not be covered under our RV rental insurance so you should ensure the trailer is covered under your insurance.
Prohibited Uses and Actions

It is up to the individual RV Host if they allow pets. You can often find it in the description of their listing on whether pets are allowed or not (and you can filter rental listing by this feature if you want). If not, we encourage you to message the RV Host when sending an inquiry.
You can update your profile picture, address, email address and/or phone number in your account menu. At the top of the page click your name, then the Account menu. On the right side you will see your personal info with an "Edit Info" link, click that to make changes.
No, we only charge the deductible if there is an insurance claim.

We encourage Guests to be mindful of their communication with RV Hosts on RVnGO. We recommend keeping all communication within our site to prevent fraudulent activity. A RV Host on RVnGO should never ask you for payment beforehand outside of our website. Additionally, all email communications from RVnGO will have the "@rvngo.com" domain at the end of the email address.
Should you notice any suspicious activity, please report it immediately to Support@RVnGO.com or call 1-888-399-9505.
On RVnGO, guests pay nightly rates instead of daily rates. This results in substantially lower costs for the guest. Rental rates, damage waiver fees, and 24/7 roadside assistance are all charged nightly.
Hypothetical Illustration of Nightly vs. Daily Rates:
Example Nightly Rate:
Damage Waiver Fees for a Class A RV is $70 per night.
A Guest Picks Up a Class A RV at 11am on March 3rd and Returns it at 11am on March 4th.
Greg pays $70.
Example Daily Rate:
Damage Waiver Fees for a Class A RV is $70 per day.
A Guest Picks Up a Class A RV at 11am on March 3rd and Returns it at 11am on March 4th.
Greg pays $140.
Clearly, there is a "night and day" difference.
Frequently Asked Questions about Going RVing
Here are some common questions about going RVing in an RV rental.
If you have an accident, call emergency services first if necessary (911). If the RV is usable and can continue on its journey, you should still contact the Host to notify them, normally they will start a Protection Plan claim with RVnGO when the RV is returned. If the RV is not usable without causing further damage, you should contact both the Host and Coachnet if you bought the roadside assistance or make arrangements with the Host to tow the RV in for repairs. We highly recommend getting the 24/7 roadside assistance, even without an accident or mishap the service can help you with operating the RV on your trip, but if you don't get the roadside assistance you may be responsible for towing, which can be expensive.
We've set up our program with the highest damage protection levels of any rental coverage program, and our Protection Plan rates are about the same or lower than other RV rental protection products with inferior coverage.
Our nightly Protection Plan rate ranges from $25 a day for trailers to $75 a day for a Class A RV (they typically sell new for more than $200,000). When you rent a car, you're probably used to paying $25-$35 a day for supplemental damage protection on a compact car, You also have to remember that when you rent a car, your regular car insurance covers you so when you're paying the $35 a day that is just for extra insurance. When you rent an RV, your car insurance does not apply and our Protection Plans provide all the coverage you need, from ground zero, so we hope you agree with us we negotiated some great rates for you.
Also keep in mind that with our Protection Plans, you as the driver gets $500,000 in coverage for any liability, as well a cap on your out-of-pocket expenses for up to $200,000 in damage to the rented RV. Check the fine print on other RV rental coverage packages, most are limited or even worse, state minimums which is only $20,000 in most states.
In case the rented RV is damaged during your trip, our Damage Contracts cap your out-of-pocket expenses to cover such damage in the range of a $3,500 reimbursement deposit for a Class A RVs to a $1,000 reimbursement deposit for Travel Trailers, and is about the same rate as regular car coverage. However, unlike car coverage we are not locking you in for the next two to three years, the rental is just a one time transaction so while our reimbursement deposit may seem high, it's not being spread out over years of higher payments. Further, our Damage Contracts which cap your out-of-pocket expenses for damage to the rented RV are not insurance, so they won't affect your car insurance payments if you elect to take out a Protection Plan with one in it.
For more information on RV Protection Plans during your rental, you can see our RV Protection Plans Overview.
No, in almost all cases, the rental car coverage offered by credit cards when booked with that card does not apply to RV rentals. Check the terms and conditions of your credit card to confirm whether or not you have this coverage specifically for RV rentals.
No, in almost all cases, regular car insurance does not cover RV rentals unless you have a specific endorsement that provides coverage and that endorsement covers the year, make, model and type of RV that will be renting. Without an endorsement, you will not have insurance and will not be legal on the road. Note this is different than if you decline supplemental car insurance when renting a car, most policy extend to car rentals (as opposed to RV rentals) so if you decline the supplemental coverage your primary car insurance still applies. Again, this is not the case in RV rentals unless you have a specific endorsement providing RV rental coverage. Finally, if you seek an endorsement, their is normally a fee charged by the carrier to extend coverage. Our Protection Plan rates are competitive with endorsements and hassle free.
As a Guest making the payment for the total rental to RVnGO.com, we will not release the funds to the RV Host until you accept pickup of the rental. If the RV is not available for any reason, or if it is not satisfactory in accordance with our Rental Satisfaction Guaranty Policy, we will refund your rental payment. When the RV is returned at the end of the rental, we will refund the damage deposit if there is no damage, or if there is damage, release the amount of damage caused to the RV Host and return any balance to you, the Guest.
You'll need to go through the electronic check in process on the RVnGO app, it is available on your phone and it's easy, just bring up your reservation on your phone (www.rvngo.com/trips) and click the boxes to complete your reservation. You and the RV Host will be asked to check the boxes and take a 'before' reading of the odometer and the generator hours (if applicable).
The check-in checklist is as follows on your reservation. You need to confirm each of the items to get going:
- The RV Host Has Confirmed Drivers License(s) of Guest and Additional Drivers (upload photo)
- Exterior Inspection
- Interior Inspection
- Use of Exterior and Levelling Systems
- Use and Refill of all Tanks and Water Systems
- Use of Kitchen and Interior Systems
- Trailer connected with double safety chains, lights and towing mirrors (check if n/a)
- Guest Familiarized with Driving RV
- Backing up with Spotter Test (Guest understands that backing up without spotter is reckless and deductible for any damages caused is $20,000)
You should take a walk-around the inside and outside of the RV and document any pre-existing damage to the RV, just like you would do when you rent a car (photos with your phone camera are a good idea, so there isn't a dispute on who caused the damage). Remember, you're responsible for paying the deductible for any damage caused during the rental, so if there's preexisting damage you want to document that, and you should upload photos and notes of the damage on the check in form.
The RV owner should also fully familiarize you with how the RV works. Take your time, get it right, and you'll have a great trip!
We also highly recommend getting our 24/7 Roadside assistance. The plan will give you 24/7 support in case of breakdown and a free tow to the nearest service station that can repair the RV, but it also provides 24/7 support from RVing experts on how to use the RV. They will cover all your questions, from how to turn on the microwave to how the awning or leveling system works.
Going RVing is easy with RVnGO. With industry leading comprehensive insurance, we cover you for up to $500,000 in liability coverage and for damage caused to the RV up to $200,000. Many other companies don't have insurance at all, or it may only cover you for state minimums (in most states that's only $20,000 in total liability and property damage). Almost always, your regular car insurance won't apply, so an accident on other RV rental sites could spell financial and medical ruin.
- Search through thousands of RV rental listing on RVnGO.
- Once you've found the perfect RV for your trip, create an account with RVnGO and send the RV Host an Inquiry for your desired dates, and communicate with the RV Host to finalize any additional details.
- The RV Host then has to accept the reservation, and when they do you'll get a notice to make the necessary payments. Our credit card processing company (Stripe) then holds the funds until you check in, releasing them once you're happy with the RV rental.
- Check-In electronically with the RV Host on the RVnGO platform. Your reservation is under your RVnGO profile, under My Trips. You can and should upload any photos or notes about pre-existing damage.
- Enjoy your trip!
Frequently Asked Questions by Hosts
Here are some common questions about our services by Hosts renting out their RVs.
Appropriate First Responders should be called first, as needed (dial 911). The Guest should exchange insurance information with involved parties.
The Guest should document any damages, including taking pictures with their phones as appropriate, and cooperate with police to make a statement for the accident report.
If the RV is not usable or considered unsafe to drive, the Guest will need to contact the host and start the check out process immediately, as well as beginning a Protection Plan claim with RVnGO for damage to the RV. If the RV is still usable and is safe for operation, the Guest should check in with the owner and if agreed upon may continue their trip as scheduled. During the check out process, similar to the check in process, you can upload photos and make notes. The RV Host should note the damage and take any pictures to show the damage. At the bottom of the check-out form, there is information on making an insurance claim.
You can access more information about Making a Damage Claim here.
In almost all cases, owner's regular RV insurance does not normally cover damage to your RV during a rental, nor will it cover any liability you may have, nor the driver. You will need RV rental insurance that provides episodic liability coverage during the rental of your RV. Good news is, we have you covered with our Protection Plans that include up to $500,000 in auto liability coverage and up to $200,000 damage to the RV in an accident depending on the Protection Plan chosen. It automatically covers the owner and - through a separate Physical Damage Contract agreed to between RVnGO and the Guest - the Guest and Driver during the rental period for rentals processed through the RVnGO platform. The affordable nightly rate and the reimbursement deposit for any damages is paid by the Guest, so it's no cost and no risk for RV Hosts. For more info see the RV Rental Insurance Terms of Service or email protection@rvngo.com.
The RV Host should complete the check out and input any charges on the day of check out in the RVnGO platform. The Guest will have 48 hours to review and either pay the charges or dispute the charges. If neither of the two options occur within the time frame RVnGO has the right and will charge the Guest with the original payment method on file and pay out the host.
General Preparation
You should be on time for the agreed pick-up and familiarize the renters with the operation of the RV. If the RV is a large motor home, this is the time to double-check that the renters can drive it safely. If the RV is a towed trailer, you should make sure the towed RV is properly secured and the towing vehicle is capable of towing the RV (and don’t forget to ask all these questions before accepting the rental). This is your chance to double check and confirm in person that everything is going to go smoothly, for the benefit of both parties.
The renters should then be taken on a tour of the RV, both on the outside and the inside. All preexisting damage should be documented (taking photos with a camera phone is a good idea). just like you would do when renting a car. For a detailed preparation check list you can follow, see our RV Rental Preparation Checklist. You don't have to go through the whole checklist with your renter, but it's a suggested list to make sure you don't forget anything in your preparation.
Online Check-In Process
We've tried to make it as easy as possible with a paper-less check in process. You'll have to go through the online check in process and complete the mandatory fields. Completing the Check-In automatically issues the insurance for the rental and creates the certificate of rental and certificate of coverage. This is a required step in the transaction.
In the Check-In, you'll need to go through the following with the Guest and check the check boxes on the online Check-In Form:
- Host Has Confirmed Drivers License(s) of Guest and Additional Drivers
- Exterior Inspection
- Interior Inspection
- Use of Exterior and Leveling Systems
- Use and Refill of all Tanks and Water Systems
- Use of Kitchen and Interior Systems
- Trailer connected with double safety chains, lights and towing mirrors (check if n/a)
- Guest Familiarized with Driving RV
- Backing up, parking and filling the RV with gas with a Spotter Test (Guest understands that backing up, parking and filling the RV with gas without spotter is deemed 'reckless use' and their reimbursement deposit for such use is US$20,000)
There are also fields to upload any photos of preexisting damages and make notes. Both the Guest and Host can and are encouraged to note any pre-existing damage so there is no misunderstanding at Check-Out about whether the Guest is responsible for any damages during the trip.
Finally, there are fields for the odometer reading and generator hours reading (if applicable).
Upon successful Check-In, the Checked-In Form (i.e. your Reservation page) will also be your Certificate of Coverage and Rental Certificate.
Under the Certificate of Rental Insurance will be the Certificate of Rental which will specify the make, model, owner and driver (and any additional drivers) during the rental period.
We encourage you to print of copy of the completed Check-In Form with the Certificates of Insurance and Rental for the Guest so they can keep it in the glove box. The Guest and the Host will also receive an email copy that you can keep on your phone.
Online Check-Out Process
When you Guest returns the RV, you should go through the online Check-Out process. The steps are similar to the Check-In process:
- There are fields to upload new photos and notes if there was any damage.
- Take the odometer and generator hours reading. The platform will automatically calculate any overage fees from the included miles and hours in the reservation.
- A field to add any additional charges that the Guest may have incurred (refill charges or breakage for instance).
The platform will then calculate a final check-out amount and charge it against the security deposit, releasing the balance, if any, to the Guest. If the Check-Out charge is more than the security deposit being held, RVnGO will use it's commercially reasonable best efforts to recover the amounts from the Guest.
You should make sure the RV is clean before each rental, the sheets and bedding have been changed, the waste tanks have been flushed, and the water and gas tanks are full. Personal belongings and clutter should be removed (such as the miscellaneous knick-knacks that accumulate in glove boxes and in 'that' drawer) and necessary safety and operating equipment is stocked and in good working order.
It is critical that service and maintenance be up to date and current for your RV, including fresh tires. You want the renter's experience, and their reviews of you and the RV rental, to be as positive as possible. Our successful renters have built a track record of dependable and worry-free rentals, which results in more bookings and rental income!
In order to be able to accept reservations and most importantly, the rental income, you will need to keep your payment information current in your profile.
Log in using your email address.
Then, hover over your name and choose “Account” and then "Payout Settings".
This will take you to the widget provided by Stripe (a leading internation merchant bank and payment provider and processor) where you can securly update your payout info and settings so that RVnGO can send you all of the rental income from your listings.
You're ready to RVnGO!
The business model our investors and founders believe in is to create value by removing barriers and frictions in a marketplace. We don't believe adding ourselves as another middleman creates value. Our business model isn't like other person-to-person or rental platforms that want to insert themselves between the Guest and the Host to extract their cut of the rental. We believe that business model is old an doesn't create value. By improving the marketplace, we'll create volume efficiencies and profit opportunities by selling compelling value-added services.
You've probably used Google today. How much did you pay? You probably didn't pay anything to use their services, but they still manage to be a valuable and profitable company. Our business philosophy is the same. RVnGO puts people directly in touch with what they are looking for and makes money from volume efficiencies and selling value added services, like Protection Plans and Roadside Assistance.
Because we don't charge any fees, the same transaction on RVnGO has up to 50% less fees - including the insurance provided on other platforms and on RVnGO - when you compare all the fees and insurance premiums charged to both the Host and Guest on competing platforms, and it's not even a fair comparison because you would have to pay even more on to get comprable coverage to RVnGO.
As a Host, you are able to choose whether or not you want each listing covered by a strict or a flexible cancellation policy. Depending on which option you choose, cancellations are processed as follows:
Cancellation Policy | |||
| Cancellation 31 days or more before start of confirmed booking. | Cancellation 30 - 8 days before start of confirmed booking. | Cancellation 7 days or less before start of confirmed booking. |
Strict Cancellation Policy | Full refund, less applicable processing fee. | Any Booking Deposit plus applicable processing fee is forfeited. | The Total Fee plus applicable processing fee is forfeited |
Flexible Cancellation Policy | Full refund, less applicable processing fee. | Full refund, less applicable processing fee. | Forfeit any Booking Deposit plus applicable processing fee. |
We only charge the deductible to the Guest if there was an accident that is covered by the Protection Plan. You as a Host do not have to collect the deductible or worry about that.
The damage deposit is authorized against the Guest before the start of the rental but is not 'captured', meaning it will be appear as a pending charge on Guest's credit card account but it will be released if there was no damage, or net refunded if there was a damage claim on check-out.
Payments will be processed and scheduled as follows:
Transaction Timeline | |
Inquiry Sent | Guest can search and send an inquiry to a Host to book their RV |
Host Confirmation | Host confirms the inquiry and sends to Guest for Payment |
Booking | Guest pays Booking Deposit (or full amount if less than 7 days) |
10 Days before Check-In | Guest is sent a reminder that balance of booking will be charged in 3 days |
7 Days before Check-In | Guest is charged the balance of the booking |
3 Days before Check-In | Guest and Host are sent reminders of the upcoming reservation |
Check In | Guest Checks in and Host runs through the Check-In process with Guest and security deposit is authorized |
Day After Check In | Guest is deemed to have accepted the reservation and the Host’s funds are released (100% of the basic rental rate plus any add-ons purchased by the Guest and any sales tax charged to Guest). Host is responsible to remit sales tax. |
Check Out | Guest Checks out and Host Runs through Check Out process, notes any damages. Amount owed on Check-Out is charged against the reserved damage deposit. |
Day After Check Out | Host and Guest are invited to review each other. |
Four Days after Check Out | Guest is deemed to have accepted Check-Out Total and any additional charge is released to Host and balance is released to Guest. Deadline for making any insurance claims. |
Although your VIN does not appear in the listing, we use that to make sure each listing is unique and not a duplicate, to process inquiries and rental transactions through this unique identifier, and to attach our rental insurance to the vehicle during the rental.
For towable recreational vehicles, travel trailers and fifth wheels, you will find the VIN number metal plate or on the Federal certification label. The label is typically on the left front corner (lower roadside) of the RV somewhere near the bottom of the sidewall.
Here is a short video that makes it super easy to find the VIN on the trailer or RV. https://youtu.be/o_xPSOcXq4E
Roadside assistance protects both the Host and the Guest, if there is mechanical or system breakdowns and issues and is automatically included with each reservation. We found that when a Guest in the past didn't opt in for roadside assistance and there was a breakdown or problem, it was a terrible experience for the Guest and the Host. The Guest had their trip interrupted and may have incurred emergency repair expenses. Similarly, if it was regular wear and tear like a mechanical issue, flat tire or a system breakdown like generator or AC unit going out, the Host was responsible for repairs and if unable to do them then they incurred expenses.
In the case of stationary rentals, there are still lots of things that can go wrong or break down, like awnings, generators, AC units, water and waste-water systems, making 24/7 assistance still a must have for both Hosts and Guests.

Frequently Asked Questions about Reviews
Here are some common questions about how reviews of Guests and Hosts work.
Reviews Extortion Policy
Reviews are a way for RVnGO Members to share their experiences with the community. Any attempt to use reviews to force a user to do something they aren’t obligated to do is a misuse of reviews and is not allowed.
- Guests are not allowed to threaten to use reviews or ratings in an attempt to force a host to provide refunds, additional compensation, or a reciprocal positive review.
- Hosts are not allowed to require a guest to leave a positive review or rating, or to revise a review in exchange for a partial or full refund, or reciprocal review. The host also cannot offer a free or discounted stay in exchange for a guest revising an existing review.
- Members, including Buyers or Sellers of RVs that are listed for sale on the RVnGO Site and related applications, are not allowed to use reviews or threat or promise either negative or positive reviews, to gain favorable terms on a Listing or the Purchase and Sale of an RV.
- If a guest contacts a host with a problem, the host should make every effort to resolve it. The host can't ask the guest to take specific actions related to a review in exchange for the resolution of the problem. After the issue is concluded, a host may ask the guest to leave a positive review or rating. A host may also ask a guest to revise a negative review provided certain time constraints are met.
Whether you are a guest, host, buyer or seller, please make sure you follow these guidelines. If you don't, you may be subject to a range of actions, including restrictions, suspension and/or termination of your account. By posting a review, you agree to follow the RVnGO guidelines and policies that RVnGO may enforce in its sole discretion.
If you think you have experienced extortion, please report it to RVnGO Support. Note that we will require evidence in the form of RVnGO message threads, so we recommend communicating with your guest or host via our messaging system, even after a reservation is accepted.
You can view RVnGO's complete guidelines in our RVnGO Terms of Service. To report a review or review response that violates these guidelines, please contact us.
Reviews are your opportunity to build a good reputation in the RVnGO community, as well as share your experiences. Since you can only write a review after a reservation is confirmed on the site, you can trust that any review you see on a profile page is the result of an actual person booking with or hosting another member of the community.
We believe in our community that talking to each other and leaving reviews helps others. Our community is built on trust, and trust comes from honest conversation. Therefore, we ask for reviews that are truthful, clear, and helpful to both the recipient and wider RVnGO community.
When creating a review or review response, we ask that you stick to the facts. The best reviews provide constructive information that helps the community make better decisions and is educational for the host or guest. We strongly discourage personal insults, opinion not backed up by an example, or a generally rude review. RVnGO’s default position is not to censor, edit, or delete reviews. However, there are cases in which we may take the rare step of disallowing or removing reviews or review responses. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate the aforementioned guidelines.
In addition to written reviews, guests who rent your RV can submit a primary star rating. The number of stars displayed at the top of a listing page is a total sum of the scores guests have given for that listing. A host needs to receive a star rating from at least 3 guests before a score will appear.
Our community is built on honest, relevant and transparent reviews. We will remove or alter a review if it violates our RVnGO Terms of Service or RVnGO Online Content Policy
At the end of a trip, the Host and the Guest will be invited to write a review about the trip and each other. All the reviews on RVnGO are written by Hosts and Guests from our community. Any review you see is based on an actual RV rental through RVnGO.
Frequently Asked Questions about our Protection Plans
Here are some common questions about the Protection Plans we provide for each RVnGO RV rental.
Each RV rental through RVnGO is protected by our Protection Plans. In addition to providing peace of mind to both Hosts and Guests in case the RV was not as advertised or the Guest unexpectedly cancelled, we provide leading RV rental insurance for each RVnGO transaction. We provide the Guest and the Host coverage up to $500,000 for auto liability insurance (which covers damage or injury to third parties and injuries to the Guest) and up to $200,000 property damage coverage for damage to the RV during the rental.
Our protection plans cover travel throughout the United States of America and Canada.
Our coverage is detailed in our Terms of Service and our RV Rental Insurance Terms of Service, which include important covenants, limitations and exclusions and you should make yourself familiar with them.
We have the industry's best coverage at rates that are the same or lower than competing insurance products. Hosts that use RVnGO are doubling their profits. The guest pays the nightly insurance fee and a 3% transaction fee, you get 100% of the booking.
For an estimate of how much more money you could make with RVnGO, add up all the insurance premiums you paid in the last twelve months, plus all the deductibles, plus 3% of all your transactions (for credit card fees), plus what you spend on web development for a booking engine, and finally what you spend for leads. That number is what using RVnGO will save you.
We are very transparent with our insurance because we know it's the best, others feel the need to hide what it's all about. You can find out more at RV Rental Insurance Terms of Service.
In summary, our coverage and rates are as follows:
- RVnGO provides $500,000 auto liability insurance covering the Guest and Host per accident..
- Property Damage coverage for damage to the RV up to $200,000.
| Nightly Fee Paid By Guest | Deductible Paid by Guest | |
| Class A RV | $75 | $3,500 |
| Class B or C RV | $70-$25 | $2,500 |
| Trailers | $45-$25 | $1,500 |
The nightly insurance rate for a Class C is about the same as competing products, like Zurich. The monthly premium with commercial insurance companies is in the $250 range, which equals $3,000 a year, if you do a 100 rental days, that $30 a day. Plus the guest has to go to to the insurer's site within 7 days of the rental to register and they pay another $27 a day, so in total $57 per day, and you as the Host are liable for the deductible. Under our policy the Guest pays the deductible.
Let us know if you have any other questions, we're looking forward to working with you!
No, unfortunately we do not cover the Burning Man Festival, nor travel and from the festival. In recent years there has been a massive increase in weather related incidents, vandalism and theft.
Yes! We provide 24/7 Roadside and RVing assistance which covers the Guest and the Host if there is a breakdown, whether that is a mechanical breakdown on the road that may require a tow or a system breakdown while RVing like generator or AC breakdown, giving our guests peace of mind during their adventure.
All transactions processed on the RVnGO platform include Protection Plans agreed to between the RV Host and RVnGO and, separately, the Guest and RVnGO. Plans include auto-liability insurance needed to insure the RV on the road, and a Physical Damage contract (that is not insurance) agreed to by the RV Host and RVnGO and, separately, the Guest and RVnGO and Roadside Assistance. RVnGO provides auto-liability insurance coverage covering both the Host and the Guest up to $500,000 per accident. We do not process other types of third-party insurance or other physical damage protection plans on our platform. If you want to use other forms of third-party liability insurance or physical damage protection products, you cannot rent out through our platform so you'll have to do so on your own website - but why do that? The total amount paid on other products is about the same as what the Guest pays on RVnGO. Plus, on our platform, RV Hosts don’t pay anything for auto liability insurance nor physical damage protection and our reimbursement level is higher.
We have a growing portfolio of insurance products for Hosts and Fleets, you can find out more here. Info for Fleets
