Meet The Cozy Tow-A-Way! A little vintage camper with a lot of personality.
Our 1977 Bell 1300 is a lovingly refreshed 13.2-foot vintage camper that keeps the charm and character of its era while offering the little conveniences that make camping easier. She may be small, but she's thoughtfully equipped for a cozy camping getaway and has plenty of vintage character you won't find in a brand-new RV.
Inside, you'll find a dinette that converts into a full-size bed and an upper twin bunk. A mattress topper is currently on the bunk, and fresh sheets, pillows, blankets and covers are provided. A full-size tri-fold mattress is also available upon request. The camper is ideal for two adults and can accommodate up to four guests when two of the guests are small children.
THE VINTAGE DETAILS: This isn't a cookie-cutter modern RV, and that's exactly what makes her special. The Cozy Tow-A-Way has been refreshed while keeping her vintage personality, with retro details, green checkerboard accents, a flamingo-inspired bathroom and plenty of little touches throughout.
And don't be surprised if she becomes the conversation starter at the campground. She tends to turn heads and spark questions like, "How old is she?" and "Is everything original?" That's part of the fun of bringing a vintage Bell along for the adventure.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: We try to make packing as easy as possible by providing many of the basics you'll need during your stay. Three bath towels, two beach towels, washcloths and dish towels are provided, along with hand soap and basic cleaning supplies such as dish soap, glass cleaner and multipurpose cleaner.
You'll also find a starter supply of personal-care items including a pack of body wipes, three rolls of RV-safe toilet paper, five toilet treatment pods, three toothbrush and toothpaste kits, travel-size shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and a hair dryer.
THE KITCHEN: The kitchen is stocked for simple meals, coffee in the morning and relaxing evenings at camp. You'll have pots and pans, plates, bowls, silverware, drinking cups, insulated coffee cups, insulated water cups, cooking utensils, grill utensils and a wine opener with insulated wine cups.
We also provide a compact ice maker, Brita water pitcher, single-serve Keurig with five K-Cups, small air fryer and single sandwich griddle.
One of the most unique features is the original vintage ice box. It keeps food and drinks cool using ice, with melted water draining outside of the camper. It's an original piece of the camper's history and part of what makes the Bell experience different from staying in a modern RV.
The original propane stove is available for cooking and includes one filled propane tank. An additional tank can be filled upon request for an additional charge.
BATHROOM & COMFORT: The camper has a Kohree flush toilet and comes stocked with the bathroom and personal-care supplies mentioned above.
For climate control, The Cozy Tow-A-Way has a 10,000 BTU A/C unit that operates on shore power. Battery and electric-powered interior lighting are also provided.
The A/C requires an appropriate electrical hookup and cannot be operated without shore power. There is no generator included with the rental.
POWER & HOOKUPS: The camper uses a 30-amp electrical connection. We provide the 30-amp power cord, 30-to-50-amp adapter, 30-amp surge protector and a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.
Water equipment is also provided, including hoses for campground hookups and a hose for filling the camper's water tank.
OUTDOOR SETUP: The camper includes a C-rail awning for shade, awning stakes, an outdoor rug and string lights to make your campsite feel a little more like home.
TOWING: Guests who choose to tow The Cozy Tow-A-Way themselves are responsible for confirming that their vehicle and equipment are appropriate for the trailer before booking.
The camper is approximately 1,735 pounds dry, has a 1,900-pound gross vehicle weight rating and approximately 220 pounds of tongue weight. It is 13.2 feet long and does not have trailer brakes.
We provide an adjustable hitch setup with a 2-inch ball, sway-control connections, a 7-pin connection and a 4-pin adapter. The camper also has two installed scissor stabilizer jacks, wheel chocks and the necessary basic towing accessories.
For your safety, we recommend making sure your tow vehicle is safely rated to tow at least 2,500 pounds. This provides additional capacity for the camper when it is packed with its supplied equipment, guest belongings, food, water and other camping items.
We are happy to help first-time towers understand the setup and personally walk you through the camper before you head out.
DELIVERY: Don't want to tow the camper yourself? Delivery and pickup are available within our service area, with a maximum delivery distance of 50 miles. Rates range from $150-$250 per way based on distance.
Our delivery fee is slightly higher than a typical mileage-only delivery charge because delivery and pickup are outsourced to an experienced towing provider. The additional cost helps cover the expense of hiring someone to safely tow and transport the camper to and from your campground.
We still personally come to the reservation for the guest walkthrough, answer questions and make sure you're comfortable with the camper before your trip.
Delivery and pickup must take place during daylight hours for safety, but we're flexible with scheduling and will work with you to find a convenient time.
PET FRIENDLY: Your four-legged camping companion is welcome! Please let us know if you're bringing a pet when you inquire.
Because this is a very compact camper, we recommend small or medium-sized dogs. Larger breeds can make the limited interior space feel a little too cozy.
STORAGE: Because The Cozy Tow-A-Way is a 13.2-foot vintage camper, storage is intentionally limited. There are currently two small pull-out storage drawers inside.
Additional storage can be created underneath the dinette benches if guests choose to remove the provided bedding and bring their own sleeping setup. We recommend packing light and using soft-sided bags whenever possible.
SAFETY: The camper is equipped with a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, propane detector, Waggle temperature and power monitoring system, fire blanket, flashlight, walkie-talkie and first-aid kit.
