This automatic 1986 VW Westfalia Vanagon is the perfect retro ride for whatever adventure you may be looking for! Hit the beach for some surfing, have pancakes with a view, or set up camp just about anywhere. Thornberry will get you there in style! This camper van is equipped with two full beds, two stovetops, a sink, a small pull out table, solar power, and plenty of storage space for your gear! And, the best yet- she is a beauty!

Note:
Thornberry is over 30 years old and requires some empathetic driving & use. She is a reliable vehicle, but as an older car, the possibility of mechanical issues is not out of the question. We have done extensive work on the engine/mechanics of the vehicle. Outdoorsy provides roadside assistance.
Rules for the road:
We do not recommend taking this vehicle on over mountains roads. The van is to be driven at a MAX of 55 mph. Correctly using engine braking is required when going down steep hills. We do not allow the van to be driven in the desert during the summer months.
**Premium gas only (octane level of 91 or higher)**
**The travel radius we allow people to take the van is 300 miles from Venice, CA.
Note: you get 100 free miles per rental day- any mileage over that is $0.50 a mile.
No air conditioning. Two fans provided.
This vehicle is made for slow rolling travel. If you're looking not to get somewhere fast that's not too far away, this is your adventure wagon!
