Take advantage of Frisco’s proximity to nearby Little Elm Park and Lake Lewisville with its many RV parks right on the water!
On the northern tip of Lake Lewisville, Hidden Cove Park offers water access at just a 20 minute drive from Frisco center. The park provides basic amenities such as restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Individual sites come with covered picnic tables, fire pits, and BBQ grills. The campgrounds support full electric hookups and are pet friendly.
At another 20 minute drive to Frisco, Shady Creek RV Park is a well maintained resort with modern amenities. The park features packed gravel lots with concrete pads and grass areas for each individual site. Updated lounging areas come with a BBQ grill and swimming pool, as well as a play area for dogs. The park supports full electric hookups.
National Parks and State Parks near Frisco

Ray Roberts Lake State Park, north of Frisco, is a popular locale for its warm golden sand shores. The placid waters of Ray Roberts Lake are perfect for swimming, fishing, and kayaking, while the lawns of the park are prime location for a picnic. Tent camping is allowed on certain parts of the grounds.

Explore the history of video games at the National Videogame Museum in Frisco! As an extension of the Classic Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, the museum has a collection of everything from classic arcade games to modern gaming tech, set in arcade and living room exhibits. Many of the exhibits are designed for visitor participation, including the larger than life controls on classic devices.
For an immersive experience that dates back to the Cretaceous Period, look no further than the Jurassic World Exhibition. The exhibit allows visitors to walk along jaw-dropping animatronics and sets from the Jurassic World movies and take in the awe that these legendary creatures have continued to inspire in us for centuries.
The Hindu temple at Karya Siddhi Hanuman is an incredible sight to behold— and the holy grounds are open to visitors during certain hours throughout the week for this very reason. The temple grounds consist of sprawling and ornate buildings in traditional southeast Asian architecture, and host Hinduism’s festivals and services throughout the year.

For devout fans of college football in the Frisco area, the NCAA Division I Football Championship is a pilgrimage that must be made. And, as all football fans know, half the fun is the tailgate beforehand for the aptly nicknamed Tailgate Town of Frisco! However, even if you can’t grab tickets, rest assured that the game will be broadcasted in restaurants and bars across town.
The longest running food truck festival in Northern Texas is the Frisco strEATS Food Truck and Music Festival. Dozens of trucks featuring a diverse range of cuisines are present each year to feed the entire family, plus dessert too! The festival is pet friendly and picnics are highly encouraged, but possibly best of all— admission is completely free!
