--- "Justin was great! The RV was great! Thanks for making our first motorhome vacation a great experience." - Karen, July 2019
--- "Justin was super helpful. I had never rented an RV before but he gave us a thorough tour at pick up, had a few video tutorials ready, and was available via messaging during our trip. His communication was excellent and the RV was stocked and ready to go when we picked it up. I couldnt have asked for a better experience with him." - Dave, June 2019
General RV info:
When using an RV, having access to a 30 amp (some are 50 amp) electrical outlet is highly advised, as this is how they are designed to be used. Major electrical appliances such as the cabin AC unit, microwave, TV/DVD, and household plugs powering coffee makers, etc., only work when either plugged into a 30 amp outlet, or while the generator is running. While motorhome generators can power the couch's systems, they are loud. We typically use the generator on road trips while stopping at a rest stop to run the AC and maybe use the microwave to heat up some corn dogs for lunch.
There is a "house battery" on board the coach that powers the cabin lights and water pump while not plugged in. This way, you can use the bathroom and faucets while on the road. The refrigerator is always running and keeping your food cold, whether plugged into electricity or not. When plugged in at a campsite, it runs off of electricity. When on the road, it runs off of the on board propane tank. The water heater also runs off of the propane tank, and is always available to provide hot water as needed.
